How a job actually runs
Four stages, in this order, every time — whether it is one attic or an insulation package across a subdivision.
Assessment
We look at the actual building before anyone quotes a number — the attic, the crawl space, and the places air moves between them. You get told what is failing and why, including the parts we would leave alone.
Material Selection
Fiberglass, spray foam, loose fill or batt: the assembly decides, not the price list. We explain which one belongs where and what the difference actually buys you before anything is ordered.
Installation with energy and noise efficiency
Installed for how it performs, not how it looks from the hatch. Full coverage at the right depth, no compressed batts or missed corners, and the air sealing that makes the insulation behave — which is also what makes a house quieter.
Upkeep
Insulation is not maintenance-free. We tell you what to keep an eye on, roughly when it is worth checking, and what a roof leak, a rodent or a duct repair means for the material we just installed.

Common questions
What exactly does CG Insulation do?
We handle insulation as a complete job: working out what an assembly needs, sourcing the right material for it, and putting a crew on the install. That is deliberate — insulation usually gets split between a supply house and a labour crew, and the decision about what actually belongs in the wall or the attic falls through the gap between them.
Do you work with homeowners, or only contractors?
Both, and they are genuinely different conversations. With homeowners we cater to the homeowner's specific needs — what the house is doing, what it costs to run, and what would actually change that. Contractors come to us with a scope and a schedule and want it priced, sourced and crewed. There is a page for each on this site.
How much does insulation cost?
It depends on the area, what is already there, and whether air sealing has to happen first — which is why there is no price list on this site. We look at it, tell you the scope, and give you a number before any work starts. Anyone pricing insulation without seeing the space is guessing and will adjust later.
Where do you work?
We run from two bases. Ellenwood covers metro Atlanta, out to Alpharetta, Oxford, Griffin and Carrollton. Clayton covers north Georgia, western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina and the Charlotte area. That is 171 cities across 42 counties in GA, NC, SC. Just outside it? Ask anyway — insulation is scheduled work, so a longer trip is often still workable for a whole-house or multi-unit scope.
Do you supply the material or just the labour?
Both, and sourcing the material is a real part of the value. Getting the right product for the assembly, in the quantity the job needs, is the half of insulation work that is easiest to get wrong. If a contractor would rather supply their own material, we will install it — and tell you upfront if we think it is the wrong spec for that assembly.
