Insulation Removal & Replacement in Metro Atlanta

Insulation that has been rained on, nested in, or crushed under storage is not doing its job and is not worth insulating over. We vacuum it out, clean the cavity, and start from a surface worth building on.

What this covers

  • Vacuum removal of old loose fill
  • Rodent-damaged and water-damaged material
  • Post-roof-leak and post-fire cleanouts
  • Clean deck ready for new insulation

Insulation Removal & Replacement is one part of a building's thermal envelope, and it works best when the rest of the envelope is dealt with in the same visit. When we scope this, we will tell you if something adjacent — air sealing, a crawl space, a removal — needs to happen first for this work to be worth paying for.

Who this is for

Homeowners dealing with comfort or bills, and contractors who need this scope covered on a jobsite.

How we work

What you get either way

Material and crew, arranged together

Most insulation problems are really two problems: picking the right product for the assembly, and having someone install it correctly. We handle both halves as one job, so there is nobody to coordinate between.

One point of contact

You deal with us. We deal with the material, the crew and the sequencing. That is the whole reason contractors and homeowners hand this scope over rather than managing it themselves.

Scoped before anything starts

We look at the attic, the crawl space or the plans first, then tell you what the job is and what it costs. No work begins without your OK on the scope.

Built around your schedule

On a jobsite, insulation sits between framing and drywall, and being late holds up everything after it. We size the crew to the schedule rather than promising a date and hoping.

FAQ

Insulation Removal & Replacement questions

When does old insulation need to come out instead of being topped up?

When it is wet, mouldy, rodent-damaged, smoke-affected, or so compressed that it has lost its loft. Adding new material on top of any of those traps the problem underneath, where you cannot see it and it does not dry out.

How do you get old insulation out without wrecking the house?

It is vacuumed out through a hose to a collection bag rather than carried through your hallway in armfuls. The access route gets masked off first, and the debris leaves the property with the crew.
